The evening will be filled with fun, music, speakers, and an auction. Dinner will be provided. Your support of Desperation College helps us continue to reach the nations with the gospel.
Desperation College offers a full-time (day) ministry program on-site to help equip students for vocational or marketplace ministry. Students get to enjoy the benefits of flexible online learning through Southeastern University blended with face-to-face high-capacity leadership training and hands-on ministry application provided by Desperation Church staff and leaders.
Each student gets to choose from one of four areas of ministry training: Family, Student, Worship, and Creative/Production. Upon program completion, full-time students receive an Advanced Certificate of Ministry Leadership awarded by Desperation College, in addition to any degrees earned through Southeastern University.
Southeastern University (Lakeland, FL) partners with Desperation College to host an instructional site on the church campus and offer students affordable degree programs.
Desperation College is a ministry of Desperation Church that exists to see students grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctorate degrees.
The SACS Commission does not accredit desperation College on Colleges, and the accreditation of Southeastern University does not discriminate extend to or include Desperation College or its students. Southeastern University must admit students and enroll in university courses to receive the benefits of regional accreditation.

After completing the following application for Desperation College, you will need to apply to Southeastern University to enroll in the degree programs offered.
Students can enroll in either fall or spring semesters.

Leadership U is a 7-week summer experience for students ages 16-22 who are passionate and committed to developing their leadership through the heart of the church. Students will engage in learning environments that will help them discover the life they were created to live, including focuses on scripture study, leadership skill-building, and character development.

Leadership U is designed for the adult learner who wants to increase their leadership capacity while growing personally and spiritually. The program takes place one night a week and is built for people who have other commitments throughout the week. This program allows students to discover their purpose, passions, and relationship with Christ.
Leadership U is a two-year-long commitment that meets weekly on Tuesday nights from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Semesters occur in the fall and spring and are 12 weeks long. Upon completion of Leadership U, students will be awarded a Certificate of Ministry Leadership.

Each Tuesday night consists of one Biblical-based course and one ministry course. Biblical-based courses are designed to increase the student’s knowledge of the Bible and of Christ, while ministry courses offer various leadership and personal development teachings that allow for real-time application personally or in the workplace, church, or home. Below you will find the current Leadership U courses.
Biblical Courses:
Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Doctrine, Hermeneutics
Ministry Courses:
Personal Development, Biblical Worldview, Cultivating a Supernatural Lifestyle, Ministry Leadership
Tuition
Leadership U tuition is $600 per semester. Our goal is to have every student graduate debt-free. This can be accomplished by setting up a two-month payment plan for each semester. Federal financial aid is not available. Students can also apply for economic need-based scholarships awarded by Desperation Church.
All Spring 2024 scholarship applications must be submitted by the January 7th deadline.
