What is DC Kidz?

DC Kidz is a place where all children (3months through 6th grade) can discover and develop a passion for God in a safe and age appropriate environment.

What to Expect

How to check-in

When you arrive to Desperation Church follow the signs to the DC Kidz check-in area. A trained volunteer will gather some basic information about you, your child and any special care instructions that may be necessary.

Once the information has been entered into our database you and your family will be guided to the age-appropriate room.

How does it work?

You and your child will receive matching identification tags during check-in. Your child will need to wear one tag, while you keep the other.
After the service, you will return to your child's room where you will be asked to present your ID tag so that your child may be released back to you.
If for any reason the volunteers need to contact you during a service your ID number will appear on the screen and we ask that you immediately leave the worship service to return to your child.

Passionate Atmosphere

DK Kidz is committed in raising up the next generation to be passionate world changers who are bold and unashamed of their relationship with Jesus.

Age Appropriate Instruction

Through age-appropriate worship, teaching, and fun activities, children are exposed to God's Word and challenged to grow in their relationship with God.

Safe Environment

Our children's services are fully staffed with DC members who are committed to teaching and ministering to children. You can be confident that your child is well-cared while you worship.

DC Kidz is all about building relationships and because of that we are also all about small groups. Each semester we provide small groups where kids 1st-6th grade can join and connect with other around fun, engaging activities.

DC Kidz Serve Day

DC Kidz Serve Day is a program designed to teach kids the importance of being the hands and feet of Jesus. We believe that kids don’t have to wait till they get older to make an impact on the world around them. We teach them this by doing serve days in the community. From cleaning out classrooms for teachers, to preparing and giving away free lunches, these kids learn the meaning of servant leading. Our motto: DCkidz are not just kids. They are world changers starting now.
